Getting ZERO XP

If you go into the Northern wall (upstairs from Tydus), you will see a "Enter mission" in your party window. once you got your party click on it, you will enter the mission and end in another outpost (Fort Rainik I guess), and again, you'll see the Enter mission...
Believe me, The Brench isn't all the map You can see an interactive map in the main menu of Guild Wars Guru... it may give you an idea of how big is the world.

Go and do the northern wall mission and that'll start you on your way...
You've just barely started this game. There's much much more left.

no i only have about 5 areas to warp to .
where are they all ?

Monk Here: Listen very carefully.
To move forward in the game, you have to talk to Sir Tidus (in ascalon city). Maybe you've done this, maybe you haven't. There's a mission, and the game's first in-game cut scene.
If you haven't seen that, go talk to Sir Tidus (in Ascalon City.)
If you have seen that, explore Ascalon City. You'll find the Great Northern Wall area, which connects up to Ascalon City. See the 'Party' Box? See that Button that says "Enter Mission?" Get a party together, and then press that box.
That's what you need to do. You're welcome to continue posting confusedly.

I'm gonna take it that this is Monk's first RPG'ish type game. You gotta search around, play with other people for heaven's sake...not henchies :P. Each NPC has valuable information, some class-specific though....but there is a -whole- lot more beyond The Breach. Lot's of story to go and let's not forget the PvP options. As most people say, level 20 is just the start....everything up till that point is a tutorial ^^
>> I am almost closing in on the end of the tutorial..maybe lol

Anyone else think he's havin us on..?

I was laughing, but this has now made me feeling sick.
Chars are capped at level 20, Monk is at level 10. You know what? That is the end of the game. Time to move on to something else...

I thought I did all the quests from the NPCs in and around Ascalon, but after I did the Northern Wall and Fort Ranik missions those NPCs offered me more quests. So keep checking with them. Also, missions have 2 parts, if you've only done one go back and do the second for additional XP.
The GW world is huge, I'm level 11 and have only seen and done a small fraction and am still finding more to do and explore in the area.

This is why It's best to adventure with real people. Share your experiances and learn and grow with them. I've found man a level 8 cahracter in pre-searing that didn't know that they needed to talk to sir tydis. They're usualy the ones lfg to farm beyond the north wall. (God that's some good mindless fun )
The concept of the missions was new to me. I joined a party in the area (wasn't any lack of invites, that's for sure) and was whisked away. I returned to fort ranik yelling "That was toaly wicked!" then wondered where the hell i was, thinking myslef to still be at the northern wall. A quick look at the map set me straight. I warped back and noticed the enter mission button in my party screen.
It was about 5 missions later I noticed when I entered the area it came up in big letters over the center of my screen "Co-Operative Mission"

They need to make it like this. If the mob gives no exp, then it should not aggro you either. Its a waste of time fighting crap that gives no exp.

I agree, This is what's making me get pissed with the game. I'm tired of having to travel through areas with low spawns which jump me. I try to keep going, but if you have any henchman in your group they always stop to fight.
It would just be better if the lower mobs were afraid of you because you're so much stronger than them.

I skipped all the way from yaks bend to gates of kryta by going through explorable areas :P Also, you have to do the Gates of Kryta mission, you cant get around it.

Ok buddy you are the most thick headed person i have ever listened to in my life. You are no where near done with the game, or nearly even done with 1/20th of the game. I don't know why people aren't helping you, i guess it's because we're all laughing at you lol. Anyways listen buddy - In ascalon city you can find the northen wall. Or if you already have it, HIT THE M BUTTON ON YOUR KEYBOARD TO BRING UP YOUR MAP. THEN CLICK THE NORTHERN WALL TO TELEPORT THERE. When you're there you will see a party box, just like any other town, you will see an enter mission button. The mission is not the same thing as a quest, doing quests in ascalon will take you no where, when you do a mission it will take you further in the game and will let you play to the story line. Right now you are doing absolutely nothing, because as i said your THICK. Your character will CAP out at level 20, and even at 20 there's more things to do and things to explore. Do the mission, and then when you get to fort ranik do that mission. Talk to people and tell them you want to do the mission, they will invite you to their party or ask to join yours. Also, if you get done with a mission and it leads you to a town where the is no mission, you will need to explore out and find the next town that does have a mission. But for now, monk, go to the northern wall mission and stop making yourself look dumb :P

It doesn't take that much time really. The biggest jump is when you make it to Temple of the Ages and can get a party of 8. Once you get the party of 8 with level 15 henchmen, marching through the rest of Kryta and then through the jungle is relatively simple.
I've also gone back and done at least all of the primary missions through Sanctum Cay (including the majority of the secondary missions as well), and am working on the ascension missions. I also did zone exploration to open up all of the zones in the desert zones, which was considerably more challenging than the zones prior to and up to Sanctum Cay.
I'm really glad they gave both options for people. I'm typically an explorer in these types of games, and I'm glad I got the option of exploring to discover new things rather than being teleported to the next mission town after winning a mission. It leaves a lot of options open to people, which I find truly fun.

I like the storylines, even if they do transport me across the globe in a blink. I go back & explore, but probably not to the extent that you have!
