Has patch changed elite spell locations?

I've spent 7+ hrs so far fighting Muga Riptide and Yerk Plopsquirt (both are the monk mergoyles reported by many others to have healing hands) -- I had no problem finding the both, but since fighting them after the patch, they refuse to use healing hands for me to capture it off them.

I fought Plopsquirt once for 24 minutes with henchmen (I used heal area when he was close to dying) - and he used a ton of monk spells, but never healing hands --- same with Muga Riptide.

Can anyone confirm a location where healing hands can be captured AFTER the patch? The previous bosses no longer seem to have/use them.

Ok.. how about this then -- has anybody recently captured healing hands in the past 2 days? Really wondering now because I've tried for a total of 12.5 hrs about now on the enemies listed in the "Elite Skills" thread that say they have it.

A friend of mine is experiencing the same problem and the listed enemies supposedly having healing hands don't seem to have it anymore.

I haven't had a problem with that spell but I tried 3 times earlier today to capture Elemental Attunement off a boss and all 3 times it told me I already knew the spell and I know for a fact I don't have it in my list. Something seems messed up with capturing elite spells.

Got my Healing Hands from the Boss Ettin in Perdition Rock. You have to be fast though, because the Jade Bow's kill him pretty quick. He uses it more or less straight away as well.

From the thread on Elite Skill locations at: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=6755

I believe that the elite skills that were found before the desert got removed so that all elite skills can only be found in the desert or later.

If that is the new case, why would we get the Signet of Capture so far ahead of the desert area?

Yes, because they want to decrease the amount of grind and difficulty involved in finding elite skills. And apparently the best way of doing that is moving them out of the easily reachable areas and into the more difficult ones. Brilliant. Just brilliant...

well the thing that sucks is we're all pioneers.

the people that buy this game in a few more months will have access to walkthroughs and databases galore. if they want an elite skill, chances are they'll find a bloody map and numerous walkthroughs leading them right to it.

it's bad enough being pioneers but then to go and change the skill locations is like being pioneers twice.
