I don't know if anyone else agrees... but this site has too many of the same forums. Inner Circle, Outter Circle, Left, Right... all doing the same thing... giving advice and answering questions.

Can we not consolidate and have:

-Game Guides
-Profession Threads (one for each)
-Questions and Answers
-Technical Support
-Suggestions to Devs (in hopes that maybe they'll be able to see this better than sifting through the many other forums)
-Site Recommendations and Suggestions

... and whatever else. But it seems like there's too much of the same thing going on.

I actually think Arts and Screenshots could both be merged into something like 'Visuals', then subforum Arts under it because it's not a very popular and active forum.

Actually, to the best of my knowledge, we don't have any fora that are "doing the same thing", each has its own area to cover. If you don't understand the purpose of a particular forum, please explain which you don't understand and perhaps we can come up with better descriptions for those fora whose purpose is unclear to you.

And, BTW, adding a separate forum for each profession would increase number of fora, which seems to run counter to your "too many" complaint. Besides, we tried it, and it turns out it's a bad idea. It creates precisely the problem you want to avoid: different fora covering the same issues. See the previous thread for a longer explanation of why it's not a good idea.

As for the Arts forum, it is not limited to visual arts, so it would not be appropriate to make it a subforum of a "visuals" forum. Also, I think resorting to "subfora" would complicate rather than simplify things, and if it's not as active as it could be, burying it deeper in a hierarchy will just make that worse.
