Quick question about Necros and corpses...

I did a few searches, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so here we go...

Here are the skills that uses corpses:
- Minions
- Wells
- Putrid Explosion
- Soul Feast
- Consume Corpse
- Necrotic Traversal

My question is:
Which (if any) of these skills can be paired up and used on the SAME CORPSE.
Also, does the order in which you cast them affect the answer to this question?
Also, does the side (you or enemy) that casts them affect the answer to this question?

For example, I'm pretty sure Putrid Explosion kills the corpse for good, but what about Wells? Is it possible to create a Well and THEN cast Putrid Explosion?
Same goes for Soul Feast. Is it possible to cast a Well and then Soul Feast, or Soul Feast and then Putrid Explosion or a Well, etc.

You get the idea.
Basically, I just want to know if every corpse is a one-shot deal, or if you can in some way double-up corpse skills on a single corpse.

Each corpse skill uses a corpse and thats it.
You cannot use the same corpse twice.
If another necro uses the corpse before you then you or anyone else that wants to use the corpse cannot.
So it is a one shot deal.

The new elite in chapter two will be called flesh golem and it spawns a minion and you can re-use that corpse again even though you spawned a minion there

yup cant use a body twice

what about this sequence (3 uses)

create it and let it kill a few enemies

you start taking damage and cast whatever to have the minion take 75% of your damage

just before the minion *dies* you use putrid explosion for the most *bang for the buck*

i dont think you can bomb the dead..seeing the corpse is used... BUT you can use death nova before it dies.

If you could use a body more than once, it'd remove the strat from corpse management.

Oh.. also note that some skills destroy corpses before they're made.

I love Malign Intervention (despite everyone's opinion of it). If the enemy dies while Malign Intervention is on it, the corpse is destroyed and a masterless Bone Horror is created, so no wells or any corpse targetting skill can be used on it.

My suggestion... if you REALLY want a reusable corpse, be a Necro/Ranger. This way your pet serves as a portable corpse. You'll need Charm Animal (to carry pet) and Comfort Animal or Revive Animal. I'd go with Revive Animal b/c it doesn't put you at an 8 second blackout when the pet is brought back to life.

Other than that.. you have 6 skill slots left.

Remember also.. any corpse on the field can be used against you. Stone Summit Howlers are the first I encounter (but I'm sure there's more) that can target corpses. They use Soul Feast quite a bit. It may be better to use only a few (2 or less) corpse targetting skills if you plan to go into areas your not familiar with. And although minions are fun... they're nearly impossible to raise if you're competing for corpses (I know from experience).



Death Nova doesn't destroy a corpse, but it does up to 100 Damage + Poison to nearby enemies.

To bomb a corpse, closest I can think is Putrid Explosion
