Suggestion

I am extremely impressed with the preview of the 2nd quarter update, but I do have one idea that I think would add greatly, at least to my Guild Wars Experience.

On the login screen, once logged in, you have a view of your characters and now a wonderful screen that depicts their profession, location, and level. However, I often log on just to see if any of my guild are online and it's more time consuming (considering that I have a wife whose waiting for me) to also enter the game with any individual character just to find out what the guild is up to. It would be awesome, in my humble opinion, to have the chat box available before starting the game with any character. This way, I would have the luxury of picking the best character for whatever activity the guild is planning, before loading a character. Also, it would be helpful that the guild announcement is shown when loading the chat box just to see if anything has changed. The point is that if I don't necessarily feel like helping strangers, or if I dont' feel like farming my already ascended character, then I would have the option of addressing my guild before I've loaded any character.

This might seem like a stupid request, one that might take more effort than it's worth, but at least compare with other players' views and see. I like the idea.

P.S. I'm not a gamer, but Guild Wars has me addicted. Let it be known that it is the first of all PC games to hook me.

A lot of stuff should be added to the log-on screen, such as:
Who has favor
Friends List
Guild List
When you log on, the ability to map travel before you load
IMO., these would help a lot for me to decide what to do-- if we have favor, go FoW, if such and such friends are on, do a mission, if such and such guildies are on, same, when I log on, map travel to ToA to go FoW, etc.
