I don't know why, but for some reason I just had the old Nerf Bow and Arrow (TM) theme song get stuck in my head after downloading the new patch.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but:

Barrage only gets +5 health per use with a vamp string, not +5 per hit like it used to

So suddenly I have to think of something else for my BM farming build I was just getting to work right before the update... I'm thinking it's yet another reason why Poison Arrow is superior

Aww that sucks. Zealous still gets one for every hit though right? Otherwise its practically useless...

it still works with empathy =( i was doing that new UW thing with my ranger and got hit 100+dmg with empathy on =\

Don't know, only have a handful of Monk skills unlocked on my Ranger and don't have enough spare plat to throw away a couple at testing skill combos... but doesn't sound good. I wonder if it's the same even for Dual Shot

Kinda upsets me that Anet doesn't list ALL the changes made in the game when they update, especially when skills and their effects get adjusted. I was really looking forward to capping Barrage, but if it only counts as 1 hit even when it "hits" 5 or 6 enemies, it's kinda silly.

Well considering ANet released about 4 more builds since I posted this, I suppose it's entirely possible that they've changed it back. It was definitely only giving +5 per Barrage and not per hit on the 19th.

Suddenly those shortbows I found the other day are looking pretty tasty again

Live Vicariously DOES work with Barrage (as in you get it per arrow, not per salvo) as i use it for my R/Mo ELC(and other places) farming build :P

Glad to hear some of my favorite combos are still working... that gave me a scare when I was only getting +5 per salvo that one day

So is the +5 per barrage with the vamp string stil in effect? If so i would call that a bug, as you don't gain health per attack but per arrow shot from the bow. GAH, this has got me scared...

Just remember that Barrage only hits each enemy with one arrow. If you are only facing one enemy, you might shoot a bunch of arrows, but only one will hit them. If you attack 5 enemies, you will get 5 hits (one per enemy), etc.
