i ask so many n00b questions lol
i just thought of a build (yes, its the first build i made on my own so it'll probably seem crappy to you guys xD) and i wanted to know if it was any good
8 Beast Mastery (7+1)
13 Expertise (9+3+1)
12 Marksmanship (11+1)
10 Wilderness Survival (9+1)
1. Penetrating Attack
2. Power Shot
3. Dual Shot
4. Kindle Arrows
5. Tiger's Fury
6. Whirling Defense
7. Troll Unguent
8. Charm Animal/Res Signet/Anything I want
oh yea, i'm not sure if the attribute points actually make sense

Er, charm animal isn't great in my opinion so add an Elite skill...

First of all what are you trying to accomplish with this build? PvP? PvE?
Spike dmg-wise, it isnt all that great. You dont have any dmg buffers, and havent even used any elites. Like squeezing in either Read the Wind or Favorible Winds for dmg buff, Punishing Shot for attk spike/interrupt {elite}.
For example, take out number 1. and 2. and put in Punishing Shot {elite} and Favorible Winds. Might not even need Increased Attack Speed from Tigers Fury, then you could go with another spike, hunters shot, or determined shot.
So for pre-fight in PvP for spiking, cast FW first, then kindle arrows, pick ur target and dual shot, punishing shot, etc etc = great dmg chain...

Okay, I have some stuff to say...
No elite skill is like... well, I don't know how you could survive. No offense at ALL but I don't see the point in posting every build you come up with... try it out, and make changes as you see fit. There is actually nothing special with this build. I'm pretty sure I've done it once in my Ranger PvE life. And lastly, if you don't bring some sort of Rez, whether it be Ressurection Signet or Restore Life, etc., your team will be screaming rainbows. SO, scratch that whole "charm animal" unless you love pets... like that wierd lady with all those cats down the street. Because quite frankly, your pet's only dmg output would be because of your attributes in Beast Mastery. So, I only bring a pet if I'm planning on using the interrupts, or to be a Beast Master. That's just me.
Btw, this is supposed to be constructive criticism. That means that it wasn't meant to, in any way, shape, or form, insult you. I just like to add in my two-sense
