Well I fought this morning (GMT) in arenas to test out the new faction game.
Really interesting, Ritualists have many overkill spirits that can kill/protect and if you let them spam them you're dead meat, on the other hand they are a joy to interrupt.
Didn't try the Assassin but fought some. Maybe i'm mistaken or they were played by crap players but I found them more annoying than really dangerous (their damage output seemed rather low).
Please share your thoughts about the new classes and the way they can counter or be countered, in a PVP point of view.
What do you think about Factions PVP events?

First thoughts:
The Ritualist is really REALLY nice. I don't care much for the Assassin though. The way his attacks thread together, it seems like they wouldn't work very well on a pre-made. Once people start getting some unlocks, he should be better.
My first unlock:
5 Energy, 1/4s cast, 3s recharge
For 8 seconds, the next time target ally takes damage, that ally steals 59 health (with 13 in Restoration) from the foe that damaged him.
It's like Reversal of Fortune, but more offensive.

seems good, but i noticed if you have a new account a lot of the templates have locked skills that are used for that template, in them which kinda limits what people are getting to try out.

I just downloaded the whole update. Hmm, the new Ritualist and Assassin characters are only usuable in PvP settings and not PvE?

It's a PvP event.

For the part of them not being dangerous,go up against a A/Mo with Vampiric Dagger 3 lifestealing and tell me its not dangerous and a pain to take down.

Don' know, maybe...
How do you actually dish out damage with an assassin. And to compare, say, with a Warrior with a vampiric axe, is it better?
Please share skill combos/nasty builds/tactics.

Vigorous Spirit
Live Vicariously
Healing Touch
Orison of Healing
Healing Hands
and about 3 other skills.Possibly critical.
Make Vampiric Daggers with 3 regen.Daggers are extremely fast so that would make up for it.
You do damage by following attacks Ie-Lead,Offhand,Multi and the other in order.Ill make the build in a minute 1 sec.
