Armour/Armor
Eternal Archaon
Do you guys think that making an amour which builds up on fissure armour is a good idea? (builds up= costs as much as fissure and requires you to have fissure amour before you can buy it). Sure it would cost a lot but what is the PvE player suppose to do after he has done all missions and quests, apart from collecting stuff?
This idea to make the most valuable armour from each chapter build up on each other semms to be a great idea to me and is fair for those people who have spent a lot of time saving up for fissure in the first place.
(I am aware that new players who are new to the game would have quite a headache in getting this amour, same goes for hardcore PvP players, but I still like the idea).

Sekkira
Well it would make some more grind which GW is lacking in PvE
Sagius Truthbarron
And we could give it 50+ AL so that PvPers would think they were forced to get it
Brilliant.

I would create a "new" set up armor that can only get from special drop items that can not be traded or sold so if you see someone you in it, they know you worked hard for it compared to say ebay.

If you have to buy chapter 1 fissure to be able to buy the equivalent of it in chapter 2 then that is grinding which Anet does not want.
I know there is grinding in the game now but your idea is not fair.
I have a male necro and there is no way I would waste 1.5 mil on current fissure to be able to buy the next one.

Edit: too many spelling mistakes . I blame the BWE for it, I only got 2 hours of sleep.
Great job Anet.

I could see the buying the new armor with a discount because you have a previous armor

What I'd rather see is some kind of optional upgrade system. Say all through the game my ranger is in Druids armour. Each time I want the 'new' version, I can either make a new set (full material cost + gold) or I can upgrade my old one (half/two-thirds material cost + gold).
If however I swap around (say buying Drakescale in one town, Druids in the next) it would only let me make a new set. This way you can still just buy what you want, but for those who don't want to grind, its a slightly reduced price, and for those who want more than one set (say for rune-swapping) you still have to pay full price for the extra sets. Plus it'd make it less painful for your char when you buy fow armour only to find you hate the way it looks.

The OPs idea I do not like so much. Sounds like a return to EQ to me. Gotta farm/camp this area or these mobs to get this much junk just so I can go get item x that I do want or need. blech.

agreed, VERY bad idea. I have plenty of coin and could easily afford fissure..will never buy it though. I feel it's a waste of $. There's no point to it and why should I have to buy that to get an armour in the new chapter. That's if I'm reading what you are saying correctly.

You don't have buy chapter 1 to get the same armor as chapter 2 will have infact chapter 1 will be in chapter 2 for those new to game and I don't like this Idea.I am not a big fan of fissure armor of any kind ok the Necro looks ok but I like some of the aromr and always will from Granite and Grotto.I just hope to see 15K version of Knights.

Ok so it semms that ppl don't really like this idea but atleast I hope the new "fissure amour" (if there is going to be one) will be worth ALOT of money. Just as ppl like to set a challange to save up a lot of gold to buy a perfect weapon, I'd like to do that for armour aswell. (P.S: still like the idea, I know that it may cause problems, even with ppl who don't want to buy chapter one in the 1st place but it was just an idea, however, it doesn't seem realistic now, after reading your comments ).
