Dagger attack speed

My friend says the daggers attack speed is higher than the sword attack speed, but I don't really notice any difference.. Does anyone know the attack speed of daggers?

higher? I don't think so seems much quicker to me, you have to watch hit numbers and not swings, swords and axes swing twice sometimes but only 1 number floats above.

also take into account the double hits...those are really 1 attack but are similar to stone daggers

yea, the higher the dagger mastery you have, the higher the chance you get a 'double attack'
also dual attacks will do double damage

Yep, also there are a lot skills that increase the double strike chance. The cool stuff is that he does not land them at once, but with ~0.5 secs delay.

Woucd be interesting to see this work with Illusionary Weapon if this was true. Sounds to me like it could be a deadly combo.

I use daggers with my Me/W now, and with flurry and the double hits I hit really fast
