Warrior gets 4 new weps , others get 2 ?

Play the violin.... But, I don't have to sit back and say I like the music...
Where are the other professions additional weapons ? And why aren't we seeing something that involves other attributes ?

um... haven't looked yet, but what are the new weapons? I know theres the daggers for the assassin (that i assume only an assassin primary/secondary could use due to the dual wielding requirement). I didn't notice new weapons when I made a pvp char earlier... enlighten me
edit: plus dont forget, this is only a preview weekend. they're not gonna bother adding in all the new stuff for the old professions, since everyones more interested in the a/ri

You are out of the loop cuz you a PvP player I assume.. New entrance to UW with new green weps & it started yesterday, not Jan 20th weekend..

Well, I agree maybe ranger should have 3 if warrior has 4 and casters have 2, but you need to remember that a warrior relies on weapons as the tool of his trade. Rangers rely on a bow and pet or traps. Casters rely more on their spells. Perhaps there should be more caster offhands, but I don't see anything wrong with a warrior having a larger arsenal of his primary tools.

ahhh lol sorry for that, been away for a week (rarely pvp actually but wanted to nosy at the new profs ) but if they're anything like the SF greens, they wont be much use unless its what you specifically want in the weapon anyway.

I'm ok with it. Did the other classes actually get any new skins? THAT would be worth complaining about.

Anet gives a nice update and a preview weekend and everyone has to find something to whine about, typical.

Assassins are fun, Ritualists suk. I spent my 10000 faction I had saved up immediately and built me a W/A which is what I've waited for and it rocks, it has one skill that does damage and hamstrings (anyone running) at the same time and there's an offhand to go with it with powerful damage to a crippled foe, monks are going down a lot faster than I ever could with plain ole warrior. Along with my basic WILD BLOW for all you "evaders and blockers" out there. muahahahah and then they've got this great "evade/heal" skill, I love it. 50% chance to be missed and nearly 100 points of heal when it ends after 3 seconds. And having Warriors armor with the speed of an assassin in attacks woohooo. And with my HOD helmet no worries from necros and mesmers. Still could use some 50% reduction to condition boots though. (smile)

Actually I have to say the new greens are pretty biased towards the warrior. All caster items have essentially the same unbounded 10/10 +30 hp +5 energy, and offhands have the same +45 hp with a reduction from a condition.
The warriors on the other hand have a +30 hp UNCONDITIONAL shield. What gives?

The majority, if not all of the new green caster staffs/wands/focuses have a requirment of the classes primary attribute. This means any mesmer/monk/elementalist/necro has a green available to them. Also the reason why they are 10/10 ALL SKIILLS, and not a specific attribute line. Simmilarly with Rangers, all bows require marksmanship, so any bow is good to any ranger. Warriors weapons however, have to be specced in a certain line. Meaning a green hammer will be useless to anything but a hammer warrior.. etc. This is why there is an axe, a sword and a hammer. Caster classes got two types of item each, so a warrior gets a weapon type and a shield. I'd say it was pretty fair.
Shadow Wonder

We got great skins and decent mods on the items. I think JR made some really good points.
I guess other people just like to complain about anything. If we didn't get any items at all people would complain. We get good items but still people complain. Ack!

Anyway, I bet it's like that for the other professions...using healing/air/curses*? Energy storage at 7*? You're outta luck.
*I dunnno all the stats/req.'s of the new greens, so I pulled this outta my ass, but you get what I'm driving at.
So basically the same is true for casters and warriors: what you said for W's goes for the rest of the classes too, only it's W's who have a new green for all their attributes, and the rest only have a new green for two of their attributes.

I wanted a dinosaur when I was 8 and my mom told me that since I don't clean my room all of the dinosaurs are dead and so I won't get one.
I wanted a big rod of pure glowing light for my ranger but no dice.

Who really cares anyway? So warriors get a couple more items? And I play monk, but I could care less.
