Zaishen Elite Challenge

Hi, im new to the forumns but didnt see this topic so i thought id just post something for fun and get some feedback. I was playing in the Zaishen elite challenge arena for a good 5+ hours with a really excellant team. We got 7 Consecutive and on the eighth battle fought 7 "Victory is Mine" trappers. Needless to say we lasted 2 minutes cuz our monk finally ran out of mana to heal us with properly. What are your personal bests? Sry i dont have a screenshot >.<.

That trapper team takes more people than any other...

there's a decent technique of just backing up, they dont seem to use bows (at least in the first one)

I just unlocked the elite challenge which you dont pick opponent and arena anymore... see what that leads to/how you 'win' that...

yeah it does, but i found you can beat them if you have 2 nukers with met shower and meteor and if you do a proper blocking strategy youll be fine. its all about timing ^_^

I had a team of ranger spikers on Zaishen Elite, we got to 9 consecutive until we got the Ob Spike team...and at 9 consecutive they put out 8 botz. In short...we got raped at that point.

damn taht really sux....im thinking of getting my really good monk friend and put together a e/mo nuker team with high mana taht has protective bond/protective spirit. And using an effective blocking tactic it should pwn.

thats 12/25 sorry I didnt think to take a screen shot before we got killed....didnt cross my mind that i could get slaughtered after that many flawless

how do you open zaishen elite challenge.. all i got was zaishen challenge

oh and just a warning...you often dont gain faction in it...for some reason...I was about to get 1000 every 10 wins. (ie. I gain faction starting from win 1 until i earned 1000. I did not gain faction again until I reached 10 wins)

do you have to beat all of them without losing once? or if you lose once start all over? i henchied the groups but the wins dont stacks.. just warps me back and go again.. real players only? and henchies are practice? guessing so

nope, just beat every different team...They arent consec so its easier

you dont get anything besides faction for the elite zaishen challenge do you? Like nothing else happens after so many wins?

yeah that's what I was wondering - someone was suggesting a reward for 5 in a row... if so what would that be? anyone reached anything or is it just random escalating AI teams (4-5-6-etc players vs yer 4)

Zaishen Elite Challenge has one purpose, aside from faction.

And that is to demolish egos...XP

we did 11 in a row with 2 trappers, 1 ritualist and 1 bonder

what are we supposed to do here?~

in this weekend that it... but later you will notice it will take you to a new area. there is like 3 areas in that map not accessible YET... maybe next event weekend...

Also when you talk to the people in the heroes ascent they mention that you could not have gotten there without getting past the Zaishen Elite. So its prob going to be a complex requirement to get to the point where you can go to the Hall again... Which I think is wonderful. If everyone has to beat the elite before getting opportunity to go to the hall. then the quality of the teams will be far higher in the PvP events. Good N00b filter if you ask me. As I have seen even rank 9s torn up by Zaishen Elite. definatly takes the attitude out of their sails...

I also like the fact that all the PvP stuff is on a new smaller map. Not going back and forth over a large map to go from place to place. Very nice... Also makes locking out PvP characters from PvE world a little easiler as all they need do is eliminate the ship from PvP maps... pretty simple. No more "If PvP access falied on portals". for each one. Personally I thought that was a nice touch. then if they want to expand the PvP stuff with new areas just adjust the map links... And add a portal link to the new area. Very nice thinking Anet...

Everyone that are using the key they provided for the pvp event have to go through zaishen challenge and zaishen elite before they can go to random.
When they get to random, they gotta win 5 consecutive to go to TA.
When they get to TA, they gotta win 5 consecutive to go to heroes ascent.

... is there a reason y i'm not getting ANY faction from this place?

the rest of my team is but not me... wtf...

I'm having the same problem, after like 10 battles i can't gain any more faction on Zaishen Challenge? One guy called it a cap. Any explanations please

Theres a cap on faction you can gain
As your not actually doing PvP, it stops people farming Zaishen with a anti-opponant build

Not sure the cap applies in Elite as its random
