I'm a 46 year old grandmother and I'm addicted to Guild Wars. I play Guild Wars and/or read forums related to Guild Wars before I go to work each morning. I read forums on my Treo while I'm driving ( ), while listening to the Guild Wars soundtrack that came with the Collector's Edition. I have the Guild Wars theme as the ringtone on my Treo and the wallpaper is one of my ingame characters. While I'm at work, I read forums way more often than I should and sometimes have one forum loaded on the laptop and a different one on my Treo. I can't wait till the Prima Strategy Guide comes out (supposedly next week) so I can buy that. I've bought a t-shirt and coffee mug with my guild's logo on them. Even though I already had the Ithas Bow preorder item (which was the one I wanted most), I paid $10 for a preorder from CompUSA after release so I could get the Bone Idol, and paid $1 for the preorder from Target after release so I could get the Censor's Icon. I play Guild Wars each evening and on weekends after I do the least amount of housework I can. I keep thinking I'll play enough to get over it, but it doesn't happen. Guild Wars is on my mind almost all the time. I need a 12-step program. Quick!

Gaming addictions are the fourth leg of my table-o-life. Without them, I'd move a bunch everytime someone put something on me...or something.

As a 48-year old chemist in management, I SHOULD be working right now, not reading and replying to GW forums. Thank God this obsessive/compulsive disorder that I have with RPGs does not spill over into alcohol, gambling or recreational pharmaceuticals.

I draw a line between obsession and addiction. Obsession is when you have something "on the mind" or you enjoy something so much you are totally "into it" and do it whenever you can. Addiction is when you exhibit the traits of obsession, and you want to stop and can't.

I'm a 35 year old, father of 2 kids. I'm addicted too, but I haven't played in a week. Instead, my son and I have taken up fishing. I'm not too sure I'll be returning to GW soon. I decided there were more important things to do in life.

I think my mom is 46... But thats so cool that there are all ages playing GW, from the youngins [that technically shouldn't be playing due to the agreement thingie], to the older end of the spectrum.

Ever since the release, all my other games/chatrooms/etc have been forgotten almost, I've played for over 120 hours in 13 days straight, my parents call me a huge geek, maybe I am, but darn it, I'm happy. I woudl get my work done during the betas, get it done early so the whole weekend was mine to play all I wanted without worry. When I start college again in the fall the same will be done... I'm going to suffer from Guild Wars Withdrawl, and I really want the guide as well.

If my grandma wasn't dead, I'd be wishing she was cool like you.

If I had a girlfriend, I'd be wishing she was cool like you too.

Who said that?

She's already been claimed as a Grandma, but I don't think anyone has claimed her for a girlfriend.

Given shes only 46, gilf could possibly be a apt discription of her.

Oh, he went there.

But hey, 46 isn't even old! Seems pretty darn young for a grandma.

I think that's 'GILF' in name only, not age.

Hey, 46 is outside my range if I were a guy and looking for a gf o_o; But I have a boyfriend who is 16 years older than me so I can't really talk. [I'm gonna be 21 this year so yeah :-p]

My mom is 46 though and my grandmas, all three of them, range from 60-70 somewhere in there.

Too bad I only have one out of three grandpa's left o_o;

How do I have three you ask? Figure it out on your own, it's FUN XD

Oh I went there.

46 ain't bad. Maybe a bit of a strech for a girlfriend. But perfect for a Sugar Mamma.

Edit:And I'll be 19 Monday.
