Once a spell is successfully cast (ie, the blue bar showing cast time becomes full) then you are free to do whatever else you want. Meteor Shower will contine to rain fiery death on that spot.

Thanks for the info guys, one more clarification please, with all the stuff going on during battles it's hard for me to tell exactly whats going on. So does the Meteor Shower continue even if there are no more (alive)bad guys in the area that it was cast??

OK most ele spells last for a certain ammount of time. For example Metor Shower lasts for 9 seconds. This means if you cast it it will rain down fire for 9 seconds EVEN if the enemies die. BUT you cannot cast is when there are no enemies around, this is because you NEED to target someone to be able to use it.

One thing thats pretty neat about Shower, is that even if you dye right after you cast it, it will still come down on whatever you targeted. Pretty nice if you ask me.

MS also falls where your target is when the spell is completed. So if you cast it on Enemy at point x, and he moves to point y when MS is completed, MS will come down on point y.
There's no way to stop a shower when it is completed, but if you move while it's being casted, it will be cancelled.
