Sorry - trying not to violate bumping rules but want to answer the question.

If the preorder key has been used, in which case you've applied the key to your account, then characters in that account are unable to trade the preorder item in their inventory to other characters in the game.

What I'm looking for is an unused preorder key, preferably the actual preorder box with the disc and key and goodies. It's just the same as trying to buy unused software.

In any case you get one every time you make a character no matter what type. Its locked to your key from preorder.

So this guy is basically wasting his time.

Oh and to clarify something the preorder kit had a event key not a preorder item key... retail kit that was shipped to you at retail release. and depending on the source had the preorder option added at the time of installation BY THE SERVER. so adding a preorder key now gains you nothing either... Only exception is the Divine Favor glittering hands... and thats only if you add a Deluxe Game to your existing account. to my knowledge thats the only exception. cause preorder items were added server side... I never added a special key for my preorder item...

You are correct to the extent that you're talking about folks that have used the preorder/beta event key on their account. The characters cannot trade the preorder items in the game. It's the rest of your post where you are incorrect.

If you read above, you'll see that I'm looking for an unused European preorder, with an unused preorder/beta event key. If it's unused, I can apply the key to my account and my characters will get access to the Chimeric Prism.

It may be that I don't find one of these, but if I do, it will not be a waste of time.

Well good luck if it works. but I was under the impression when we got these preorder items that it would be a one time only thing. Exclusively for preorder purchases... If its true that those things can be purchased aftermarket with unused event keys... Well... That makes our exclusive Items rather cheap and superficial form this point forward. Add to that finding an unused Event key from Europe is going to be rather tricky to say the least... I mean How do you know it has not been used yet?

well If you find one. good luck is all. not trying to be a smarta$$ or anything... just saying. I think this will be a rather hard thing to find at this late date. Maybe try for a chapter 2 preorder item instead... I know there is going to be a couple options to choose from...
