I cant stand this triple DAMNED "WTS/WTB" shouts in trade channels - its really impossible to buy or sell anything this way.
After smooth auction system in WoW where you can log in, check items you need, and forget it, you must stay here and spam (or try to look into oceans of spam), i feel like returning in wretched times of UO.
Since actually, only weapons can be traded (materials can be bought off NPC, even for high pricing), i suggest a special city, which will ONLY have selling boards (nothing else).
You can teleport any time here, and out. You cant move or explore there. Your only action is to look through sale boards, and buy, or create an auction.
To get rid of millions of pesky flea stuff, that no one needs :
To place item for sale you must pay 1k, which is returned to you, if your item is sold in 24 hrs. If it is not, this 1k is lost (and item returned to you). That will force people to set sane starting prices, and sell only things other people would like to buy.
There must be some "temporary storage" box, holding 4-6 items (no more) that you want to sell. If you buy an item on auction, it is placed in this box, too. If there are no free places in box, you cant buy items (that will prevent famers from creating an overwhelming number of auctions).
If item is bought, the seller will get 90% of sum (10% is taxed).
Items must be sorted by class (sword, staff, wand, ..., weapon upgrade), by quality (blue, green, gold, ...), by starting and "buynowforxxx" price.

were you aware that they are currently working on an auction house/improved selling/trading system and will put it in as soon as the bugs are worked out?
