Try looking behind your computer where the cable is and reconnecting it. It will look like an oversized phone plug. It clips into your network card and snaps into place. It will only go one way.

i looked bak there but all plugs were fine, i dont think its an actual "physical" plug, i think its sumthin inside the computer

once the cable was loose and not making connection.
removed it and reseated it worked.
the other time the cable itself was defective having worked for a while than got that message.
that message simply means that the connection is broken somewhere be it unplugged or actually broken

I dont think its a plug, cause i have a wireless connection...., any ideas?

The Intel(R) PRO/100 VE is not your wireless adapter. It is a wired ethernet adapter that you're probably not using because you have a separate wireless adapter. It's normal for it to say it's unplugged. That doesn't have anything to do with your inability to connect to the internet.
Try this:
Unplug your cable/DSL modem, unplug your wireless router. Wait 10 seconds. Plug the modem back in. Wait 1 minute. Plug the router back in. Wait 1-2 minutes. Reboot your computer.
Sometimes wireless connections and broadband connections get messed up and you just need to restart everything.
If that doesn't work you should check your wireless network settings and make sure everything is still set to connect to your router properly.

I'm having the same problem, it just disconnects randomly. When it happens in gw your character just stands there motionless and everything stops moving, this thread will be of great use. However I'm using a high speed modem and its connected there.. I'll try to re-connect anyway as mentioned.

Yeah, there are soooo many things that can cause wireless connections to disconnect. That's why I prefer to just use a wired connection...pretty much never has problems.

is there a little icon next to your system time that looks like an antenna? If there is double click on it and choose search for wireless networks, once it finds one choose connect. Probably not that simple but worth a shot. If that doesn't work go into your windows wireless netwrk setup and choose add additional system to wireless network <something along those lines> then plug in a jump drive or floppy, just follow the instructions on there and it should get you back on. If not then is your wireless router getting an active line in from your ISP? Reconnect the cable from your outlet to your wireless router then turn it off for 10 sec like dex said then power it back on. if you can plug in a system directly into the modem to see if you are still able to get out without using wireless.
Former Ruling
probably as simple as you not getting a good signal from the Base Unit.
See if you have any interfering things inbetween the two things. Even certain Ghz of Phones can cause a probelm.

802.11b (older wireless standard) & 2.4 ghz wirless phones don't agree
802.11g & 2.4ghz don't have any problems
I'm hearing that the current 802.11g and the new 5.8 ghz phones cause problems from diffrent sources but have not been able to confirm or deny this.
The problem is, if your in an apartment, your neighbor may have one.

Was this connection working at some recent point in time? If so, has anything changed with your software, hardware, or configuration between when it was functioning and now?
I suppose the first thing you'll want to do is find out if the disconnect is between your wireless device and your router, or if it's between your router and the internet. If you look for the system tray icon that pegasux was talking about, does it say that you'r connected to your wireless network, does it say you have "limited connectivity", or is it missing altogether?
You can also find this out by opening your Control Panel, opening the Network window, and checking to see if there is a wireless adapter in the list of network connections. If the only adapter is your Intel 10/100 adapter that means that your computer isn't "seeing" your wireless adapter.

It would help to know what type of Wi-Fi you are using....brand-name and all. You also need to make sure you have any drivers needed for it to work and if you are receiving a good signal (better than 50%) then go into "My Network connections" and run the setup wizard....you will get a window that tells you a cable is unplugged....tell it to ignore the cable being unplugged.
EternalTempest; the 2.4Ghz bandwidth is used for all wi-fi....A,B,G and the new MIMO.....it's in the FCC rules....they just use it differently. A 5.8Ghz phone doesn't interfere with my Wi-Fi G connection at all...where the 2.4Ghz phone I used at first ...did.
