It seems kinda lame that just for hunters shot you have to get rid of the pet you worked hard to raise. (when I was there I had a level 9 moa)

They should change it around so maybe when you find it and click it the stalker follows you back to Nente?

what are your opinions?

You could always just buy the skill later, if you have such a problem? I'm assuming this is the presear quest, right?

it is a post sear quest ranger only quest, but I agree it is broken, if you ditched the cat in pre and went for a wolf or bird, you have to let it go, if you kept your cat it is "cool here is some xp!"

Now if you had the option of letting ranger "what's his name" pet sit, I would go for it. To be honest though the skill can be obtained later and since some levels top off in the jungle anyway, you won't miss the few xp points.

I noticed another problem with this quest.

As my new ranger I decided not to bother doing the pet quest presearing if I was just gonna ditch the pet to get Hunter's shot. I go post searing to get the quest and guess what? You dont get charm animal when you accept the quest. IT'S ONE OF THE QUEST REWARDS. It's almost like Anet wants everyone in this game to have Melandru's Stalkers.

I second some kind of change to this quest: There is no way I'm ditching my lvl 20 Hearty Moa just to get some xp and one skill and i doubt anyone else in a silmilar position would do the same. Matter of fact, I'm not ditching any of my 4 Moa Birds any time soon.

yea I just bought the skill. and avoided that as well for a similar reason... But alas there may be another option to bringing him the pet. for instance I'm thinking of that quest in shiverpeaks that you get a devowerer as a pet and have to feed to in order to finish the quest. in that instance I had two pets for a short time... maybe they can do something like that for this quest... oh well... just an idea...
