Obviously the builds haven't been updated as to this fact.

Yes, Hundred Blades was formerly non-elite and has since been made elite. Which means the Burning Blade is an outdated build. It happens. If I remember correctly, that one was from a build review. I'd like to say we'll try and keep all the builds in our directory current but that's a monumental task and one that would take away from the rest of the things we have to do around here. Those builds are presented "as is" and might or might not work correctly or even effectively thanks to changes and alterations since they were posted.
As for how it changes things the point of Hundred Blades was to have a big nuke. Since you'd be using Conjure you'd get that added damage on each swing of HB and the extra swings would also charge your adrenaline faster. Note also that the Conjures have changed since then, too, and need to be used with a weapon already dealing that type of damage already. You'd need a Fiery sword where the "best available" used to be a zealous to allow you to spend the energy you'd need for that build. A reasonable alternative for HB would be Final Thrust. Dropping Immolate for Incendiary Bonds (which costs 5 more energy but is actually cheaper in the long run as it's 15 energy every 15 seconds as opposed to 10 every 5. That's 1 en per second instead of 2) has possibilities. It's 2 seconds to cast though, which I'm not all that fond of, but AoE and a delayed spike to your damage can come in handy and that spread of Burning can lead to a lot of energy for your character to use. That might justify dropping Sprint for Hamstring which is a bit better in terms of keeping people from running away. Now, going the other way dropping Victory is Mine! in favor of Hundred Blades requires rethinking all the sword attacks and even the Immolation - which becomes too costly - as the idea was to have a lot of conditions to fuel the Frenzied Conjured sword swinging. Dumping Strength for Tactics you could pick up Fear Me! in place of ViM1! and go with Savage Slash and Distracting Blow with Galrath and Final for a lot of caster disruption. Or switch to axes and use Disrupting Chop there, too, with Dismember, Executioner's, and Penetrating Blow and maybe something like Axe Rake. And then...well, you see why I'm hesitant to go back and update these things...

I was just thinking of having outdated or incorrect builds removed from the list....or archived. Way better then trying to correct the builds that change over time.....that would be a huge task!!!!
/sigh
Was looking forward to that build too.../back to the drawing board.
