The first place to get it is at Droknars Forge. This is the first town past ascension.

just wondering, do you have to do the ascension before getting to droknars?

I guess you wouldnt have to do the ascension stuff because you could walk through lornar's pass, but that is even harder than the ascension missions themselves.
