An Elementalist Runner

For Christmas, I got my wife a copy of Guild Wars. She plays it more than anything else now, so we often end up having to take turns on the 1 PC that can run it.

N E Rate....
So, she started getting low on money by her forth character. Since her Elementalist/Monk was lvl 20, she decided to make some money by running. It's funny b/c she rarely dies now and is the only elementalist most people have seen run (successfully) from Ascalon to Yak's.

She uses:
  • Whirlwind
  • Windborne
  • Vital Blessing
  • Mending
  • Protective Spirit
  • Purge Conditions
  • Heal Area
  • Healing Breeze

She runs for tips, so it's not steady income, but still.. interesting to see other players' reactions to an E/Mo runner.

Also...
She's been paid to run from Drok to Port Sledge.

Pretty Cool. She may have trouble with the worms and knock down but since I started playing a monk (and other character is an ele) I can see how these sklls work nicely.

I've also been on the share your pc when me and my wife were on FinalFantasy XI (until I picked up the ps2 version ).

Nice going! Sometimes I do the same thing with my Mesmer when I'm bored. It's pretty funny to see some people's reactions.

Actually.. .a Mesmer would work quite well. I've run through the Tengu between Lions and HotSprings without much trouble using Distortion, Illusion of Haste, Elemental Resistance, & Physical Resistance. The trick is to only use IoH when you REALLY need it. That 10-16 seconds (w/ runes) is sweet, but the following 15 seconds of cripple hurts, so it's the most stratigic runner class.

I was wondering - can you simply renew illusion of haste at the end of that 10-16 seconds, since it removes the cripple condition when you cast it?

I know it's a drain on energy and causes you to pause a second while you cast it, but it seems like it's an almost endless running tool if you can keep your energy up...
