UW greens drop rant

Twice now ive cleared the UW, a total of 5 hours spent on both attempts (including the failed attempts, with random pugs and err 7s).

On both occasions i saw greens go to others and im left wanting, This is a bit of a whinge really but, do you think it needs changing so that everyone gets 1 green, or leave it as it is.

If i do another run with no green, i think ill just lose heart to do it again.

Drop decay is slowly kicking in

happened to me too, no single drop.. did it with 3 trappers, 2 nukers, 1 monk, when second monk and 4th trapper disconnected. one guy got 3 greens in one run and i aint got anything.. kinda weird and unfair.. 1 green for everyone would be the best IMO

just buy 1 now when they are cheap, I think the prices will go up realy soon.

if nything the prices will go down, now that ppl are realizing where these things come from and how to 5-man it

Why would the prices go up? SF greens have dropped, and these will too. They already have in many cases. Victo's Blade sells for under 100K, I sold one for a lot more than that on the first day they arrived. tha axe and shield are approching the 10K barrier, and should drop under it shortly.

and i also did 2 runs no drops 3rd i got the V blade 4th got 2 greens so its just luck of the draw

Ugh... I've had runs with no loot in group of 5, I've had runs with 3 drops in group of 7 (gave one away at least..). All luck, and in the end, too much of a slog to be worth the loot.

Prices will drop fast, because the fact is the new underworld really ISN'T that hard. Its just long with many oppurtunities for errors, but once more than 50% of the people in topk know the run, any 'difficulty' that once was will be gone.

No doubt prices will drop as the market gets saturated. Look at SF greens and the IDS. Does anyone even farm for the IDS anymore?

5 runs, zero greens. most runs with less than 8 people.
Frustrating, to say the least.

I did 3 IDS runs sunday, none dropped ive now given up.

Im still able to sell them for 25k or swap them for a good weopon (like a 12^50 summit axe hehe), but when they drop its so rare now its not worth the effort.

Four drops out of 4 attempts. Can't complain I guess.

I wonder whereabouts the prices will stabilize, given that it takes quite some time to farm these greens, and usually a lot of bother if you want to go in a PUG. I also wonder if this is how farming will be in the future: areas you can't skip to the end of (like IDS) or lamely tank with a cog/book. I'm all for it.

Personally, I think the drop rate in these high level areas is pretty pathetic. I can spend 5 minutes farming Griffin and get 1 gold drop on avg. and net about 1.5k in gold/drops.

Last night, our guild spent 3 hours clearing Tombs and only 2 golds dropped for the entire team (7 man team) after killing dozens of dozens enemies through all 4 levels. My whole inventory was filled with white drops and an occasional blue and I netted about 2k in gold by selling all the crap to the merchant. And most of the whites were stupid raven staffs. I just don't understand it...? And to make matters worse, 2 of our guildmates didn't walk away with a green drop at the end.

Mabye it was just bad luck...

My guess is that most are slowly realising how stupid it is to shell out big gold for looks, and how futile the PvE aspect of GW is

I went through once and got Victos Blade and the monk Staff. I guess the game is paying me back for 9 months of shit drops.

The huge amount of people trying to farm SF and the new tombs, as well as the various threads on the subject, seem to indicate otherwise.

The price drop is natural and will stop at some point because it reflects supply going from *zero* to *something*... it's not a case of the "for looks" items slowly becoming worthless because nobody wants them anymore - prices will more or less stabilize after a while, like SF prices have.

My first time through it got Wenslauss Faith and Victo's Blade. Last night went through it again (both times 8 man starting team ended at 6 people) and got Faith and Victo's Axe. Gave away the faith to a guildie who hadn't ever beat it before. Another guildie in the group with us didn't get anything the first time. This time she got Vic. Hammer.

On the second trip there was one gold chest and two purples. No ecto dropped the entire second trip and I never saw a gold drop and 1 purple.

I go down there for the greens anyway and maybe an ocassional ecto. So far I have been lucky. Going to keep going down until I can get the Bulwark to drop for me or it comes down in price significantly.

But it really does suck when you spend 1.5 - 5 hours (depending on group) to clear the bosses only to find you don't get a drop. There should be at least one for everyone then the extra is just gravy.

I agree that the drop ratio needs amending. Yes i know it's random, no i'm not a (feel dirty for saying it) "n00b" so i know all about the drop ratio's in this game. But for some it does seem unfair to waste 2 hours on the run to get squat at the end. Where as some people get 2 or even 3 drops, surely some sort of easy to implement net code can sort this? A few of the peeps in my guild have now said their never doing the run again because of the drop ratio.

The other high level PvE areas that drop nice items are acceptable as any bad thing can drop the high priced items, ecto's/shards etc. Even the SF green items are acceptable because the bosses will only drop one or two greens and even then it's random if they do. Not the three bosses next to each other that always drop.
