I spent the bulk of my time working on quick faction for unlocks (irony being that I didn't get to play them as much as I'd liked to before it ended), so I tombs'd not at all.
I'm just curious as to whether or not people were running into an increase in Edge of Extinction bombs using Frozen Soil and Lively Was Naomei, to prevent standard resurrection and bring up multiple fallen allies quickly.
I'd imagine that, and Anguished Lingwah spam became huge relatively quickly.
Ideally, you could bring 6 necromancer/ritualists with Blood is Power and Lively Was Naomei (Or, I'd imagine mesmer/ritualists with low max health and Illusion of Weakness would work as well), cluster them, kill them off rapidly, auto-rez (when they drop their Lively Was Naomei's, and re-rez the group), and they'd instantly die again, followed by one of your allies dropping another Lively on them, killing them off again. 6 deaths, 3 times, 52 damage per death, 932 spiked damage over the EoE area minimal, barring chain reactions. For an unprepared team without the rezzes that bypass frozen soil up and ready, it should end the game fairly quickly.
Whole reason I reported Lively Was Naomei as bugged for not preventing Frozen Soil rezzes. This doesn't look like it'd make for fun matches.
So, to restate it, did anyone encounter a group similar to this over the weekend, and was it as annoying as it looks?
Anyone run into Lively Edge Bombs over the weekend?

Yeah wow. I found there was a lot of eoe action in heros over the weekend. I found it exceptionally frustrating.. as a monk :P

I don't think many people did that (I tombed quite a lot and only encountered 1 EoE), main reason probably being you don't get faction for kills when you're dead. You also lose the chance of flawless faction. So basically you're getting something like 100 faction/win and 0 faction/loss. Hardly productive.
