Tattered Girls cape?

I was just heading towards fishermans haven from sanctum cay and on my way there I found a "Tattered girls cape". Its a salvage item and has a value of 100.. just wondering if anyone has found one or knows anything about it.. it reminded my of the mystery that is gwen so I thought id mention it.

I found one too on my way to fishermans as well.

I want to salvage it, but before I do, I want to make sure it's not for some secret thing first. It's probably just a reminder of Gwen though, so if no one mentions anything special about it soon, I'll just salvage it and pray a Gwen doll comes out

Maybe connected to the tapestry and broken flute?

I tried salvaging mine and it doesn't salvage. A guildie brought up the idea that it might be for the 15k "cosmetic" armor. As tight as space is I hate to keep holding onto it so if anyone finds a use let us know please.

I wonder if it's there if you didn't buy the cape for gwen..it may do something later, and would definitely make a point to buying it.

i also tried to salvage it and sell it, but neither works. unlike the tapestry shred, it is listed as a salvageable item.

You can go back to the spot where you found the cape and get it again if you decide tyo throw it away so no worries.

I didn't buy the cape for Gwen but I still found this item outside Sanctum.

Maybe if we put all items in the Horadric Cube a portal will open to the Secret Cow Level... err I mean Secret Gwen Level

I've got one of these as well, but it's something worth thinking about: What would Gwen's cape be doing outside of Fishermen's Haven if she had died in the Searing, as most people assume?

Remember that she was outside of Ascalon when it happened - the same as your party and Rurik - so perhaps these little reminders are meant to suggest that she has already made this journey with other refugees; the same as you are making yours now. I wouldn't count on having seen the last of her, just yet..

I sure hope so. I got her broken flute at Sanitarium and if I could find her tattered cape then all the better. Maybe we can reunite her with her items (or what's left of them.)

Methinks that finding something to do with these items would be fun/beneficial. The question is... what?

I just found this cape too. No salvaging or selling but after reading this i may keep it.
About the flute.... i found a flute in ascalon area a while back but i never kept it.
It was called "magical flute" and had a value of 2gp. Not the broken one...which i know you refer to.
I wish i kept that. Gonna go back and get it again i hope.

Expert salvage kit doesn't work either. "This item cannot be salvaged" is the message you get.

Anyone come up with anything about this yet?

I hope we do run into Gwen again, she owes me money.
