where do i find or kill to get fur squares and where do i find iron ingots?

Iron ingots you can get from salvaging any weapon containing metal, pretty much. For exaple iron shields, swords, axes, hammers, etc.

from drops... or you could craft some of them I guess. If you get highly salvagable items good chance you will get steel ingots.

There happens to be a sticky in the Questions & Answers forum about this specific topic. Part of it reads:
I assume that you meant steel ingots and not iron as iron ingots are quite common. Steel ingots can be crafted on the artisan that is just outside of Sardelac Sanitarium. There are other methods of acquiring steel, but I'm not familiar with them. I suggest you try a search.

Fur can now be obtained from a collector in Ascalon itself (last name Sedgewick, don't remember her first name). She will trade you a fur bit for 4 char hides. This is much less expensive than trying to expert salvage a char hide even with the new drop rate post-patch.
