funny comebacks

I was playing in the new tombs (I can't remember what it is called at the moment) as a trapper. I got into a trapway group thinking, "Yeah, I can see what it's like to trap properly now." (This being my first day playing as a trapper, and I believe 7th match.)
Anyway we win the first round, no problems, and the fight after. We make it to the match where you have a priest on either side that you have to kill to win, against a single team.
I start by putting a few traps near our priest, and run to trap the oposite side. It's a close match, but a combo of EoE and spiking killed off most my team, leaving only myself alive with no res sig. I'm being chased by a warrior/elementalist, so I set a few traps and make my way back to the preist, at which point only 30 seconds remain until resurrection. It looks like the opposing team is all back up on their feet, so I set trap around the preist, to give them something to remember me by.
It feels like we've lost, except they take too long getting to our priest (Save the warrior/elementalist, who is blinded), and my team resurrects to win the game. I was astonished! Had they made their move sooner, they could have won.

So, I was wondering what you thought about it, and if anyone else had any funny/remarkable stories like this.

Congrats on the comeback.

But, the title is misleading. When I read "funny comebacks", I was thinking something along the lines of, funny comebacks in local chat or in PUGs or whatever.

I've had me as the last and they tried to solo the priest and lost because i was monking him and we resed.. never saw me

Also, I was called Fatty Fatty Boomballati, in game before i created the account.

I had a good one the other night. I was taking my mesmer from Ember Light Camp to Ring of Fire. As my Henchman and I were picked off one by one, more and more patrols of Mahgo Hydra and those other (can't remember names) necro enemies came by for a peice of the action. Eventually I had no fewer that 9 Hydras and an equal number of the other enemy parked right on the ressurection shrine.

Not being one to give up easily, my Henchmen and I soldiered on. It goes like this:

Res, cast 1 spell, die.
Res, cast 1 spell, die.
Res, cast 1 spell, die.
Res, cast 1 spell, die.
Res, cast 1 spell, die.


I should have counted the deaths. It must have been 10 solid minutes before the ressurection shrine was cleared. A few minutes later I was at my destination.

I was doing Ring of Fire mission I think, the one where you can either attack the gate or take the long way round. I prefer the gate cos the Fire Imps are nasty. Anyway as I was fearing the Fire Imps completely KO'd my PUG, leaving just little old me. Thankfully for my ranger armour's 30% armor vs elemental or similar and good use of troll unguent the little beasties could'nt do enough damage to finish me off. Being grouped together meant I could completely pwn them with Barrage, and this I did, managing to kill them all and rezz the entire team for us to go on and finish the mission. Ranked up there with one of the best things I have done on this game ^^
