Well first, this is my first elementalist I started 2 days ago so I don't know all the skills, but I've been doing pretty well against the lvl 24 mountain trolls in the cave north of Droks. I started doing this as a level 10 mainly for experience and to level very fast but its also a pretty fun, short run. I am having a problem with the occassional distrupting chop which knocks out prot spirit or healing breeze.
My build is as follows: E/mo
Protective Spirit
Balthazar's Spirit
Healing Breeze
Mending
Glyph of Concentration
Crystal Wave
Flame Burst
Blessed Aura (not neccesary but helpful)
Current point spread at lvl 16:
9 fire
9 earth
6 energy storage
9 healing
5 protective
I can get through it maybe 1 out of 4 times without using the glyph of concentration. When I do use it I have slight energy trouble and its pretty complicated for me to use it before each healing breeze and proc spirit. Also it cuts it pretty close on the renewal times as well. Is there anything better to prevent getting interupted? I guess if I kill faster there is less a chance of getting interupted. Any different attacks I should take? I've read SoJ is good so I think I will try that in place of Blessed Aura. Mending gives me sometime to run away and regroup if my breeze gets disruped, but I'm tempted to get rid of it and use Balthazar's aura instead.

Well I don't use a E/Mo for that run (I use Mo/Me, no interrupts), but I can make several suggestions:
Use Aftershock over Flame Burst, if you can get it. Both have 3/4 activation time and does 70 damage at lvl 9. Flame Burst costs 15 mana with 5 recharge but Aftershock is 10mana with 10 recharge.
With the spare points, you can put that into either earth or protection so Protective Spirit lasts longer... less mana per second.
Another possibility is Aura of Restoration, which at 6 Energy Storage Heals for 251% mana cost. AS and PS will heal for 25, Crystal Wave 37 or so, and with Mending you might not need Healing Breeze and Blessed Aura. Swap the free slot for Essence Bond so you can get more energy to make sure you can cast often. In this case you want to use PS as soon as it recharges (or close to that), so you might not really want to raise protection. You can also drop healing to 8 (Mending is still +3), putting more points into earth (for dmg) or Energy Storage (more heal), etc. Not sure if you'll still need glyph of concentration. Maybe whirlwind so you can get bonus for Aftershock...
