Hi,

I'm trying to win the Thirsty river mission.
I tried it once yesterday and failed horribly. (didn't have the time to try again after that)
I don't really have a guild so I have to use henchmen.
Which henchmen should I take?

To any people who wish to join me in finishing the 3 ascension mission -> Post here and we will team up.

(I'm from the Netherlands so I'm on CET time)

I prefer to take those henchmen, definately taking alesia and lina, and substituting the others if necessary. Remember, each team ressurects at every 2:00 interval in Thirsty River. A good strategy is to wait 30-15 seconds before the next 2:00 interval (1:30, 3:30, 5:30 etc.) and start your attack. Weaken without killing as many as you can, and once the timer reaches the 2:00 interval, it will be much easier because you have already softened them up.

IMO, Alesia, Lina, Stefan, and Little Thom are the more useful henchies for this mission. Since the last two parts involves more than one team to fight and you need to control aggro (unless you know how to get one team to fight the other), you don't want to use Orion. Otherwise his Firestorm may scatter enemies, your henchies chase and aggro the other teams.

One thing to be careful of with Stefan and Little Thom. When I went to attack the priest and called target, these two decided to block the door to the base, stopping me and themselves from getting close to the priest. I failed this mission more than once because of their doorman antics.

The key to this mission is timing. My preferred way is:

1. 30 secs before resurrection (e.g. 1:30, 3:30, etc.), leave who you are fighting and go kill the priest. Once the priest is dead then kill what is left.
2. Start attacking and killing a new team 10 secs before resurrection time. If you missed the opportunity then wait until before the next resurrection. There is enough time, even to get the bonus.

If you're good at dealing damage, you should be able to start on the new team even if has gone pass the resurrection. But it's better to get a full 2 mins against a team.

3. If you're in a base attacking a priest and having trouble killing it, and it gets close to resurrection...Get out. If not, they'll resurrect in the base with you and swamp you. Leave them, regroup, heal, regen energy and start attacking again.

I'll need to do this mission with my mesmer, don't know when but I'll keep an eye out for you.

I completed the mission yesterday with some other players. After failing about 4 times (it's like I'm talking in another language or something. No matter what you say, they won't listen), I got the perfect team (2 monks, 2 warriors, 1 elementalist (me) and 1 necro).

So I'm now at dunes of despair and I'm planning to do that one tonight.
But if you need my assistance (Fire elementalist lvl 20), just send me a message.

Anyway, thanks for the info.
