Hullo!
This bit has been bugging me for ages now...Bones (dropped by monsters) are kind of worthless, don't you think? Everywhere I go (and this has been since I started playing, last summer), people are selling bones, but I never see anyone buying them. At one point, I collected 1,000 bones and sold them all in one fell swoop--which was fun, but probably not especially useful.
I think just having some collectors or maybe some new style of armor (like high-level Necro armor that looks like the pre-sear armor) that requires more bones would be helpful.
I'm also hoarding silk (over 10 pieces) and linen. There's always a market for steel, leather, and tanned hide, but it seems like there are some crafting items that nobody wants.
Just a thought.
Make bones a bit more valuable.

Bones are only needed to craft Bonelace armor IIRC.

As long as there are farmers, I don't see how it could be said that there is any such thing as value in this game. The idea of a real player economy has always seemed kind of ridiculous to me, because all games that might have them are, by necessity, balanced so that the player who does not do this 40 hours a week can nominally participate.

Bones are far too easy to farm, I can get 250 in under half an hour, no problem.

It is based on players' purchases not the developers' programming. The devs just make the proportions for the materials traders.
They have no control over it if the players have an overstock.

...man, I wish economics really worked like this.
Alan Greenspan: Ford cars are now worth more money
Ford Company: YAY!
Economy: wtf?!
