Carl Jack told me last night in game that what he says above (that " ima auction this stuff out at 500g each"--and then putting the 500g price tag on each) is not accurate and that he wants more for them when I attempted to purchase the air wand and falchion. I was unable to question him more as he exited the game very abruptly.

Hopefully he will clear this up quickly.

basically 500g is the minimal price - the starting bid if you will is higher than the merchants buy price. I would certainly like to sell for higher than this price of 500gold. I thought I talked to shadowknight in the game. Ofcourse you could have two guru accounts and shadow knight and falchion are the same person.

Yes Falchion I logged of to make a PvP character for my teams arena group. I do believe I said "brb" before leaving. I know thor hammerbane didn't have a problem buying my holy rod besides us not both being available in sync.
