Do you have a firewall installed?
You don't really need to even go to a website to get viruses and stuff if you don't have properly working firewall.
A fresh install of windows, for example, won't stay longer than minute or two without getting a virus infection without firewall, usually done my reinstalls without network plugged in at all until firewall is up
