My Dilemma

Make an assassin, get cool looking armor. Then realise you are not a melee type of person. Guess nice appearance of profession doesn't always = good
I do like the teleporting stuff (shadow step, not telporting but I still call it teleporting).

Make a ritualist, look like a christmas tree with popcorn stuff and a fruity looking blind fold. Then make tons of spirits to annoy monsters and buff people. Fun.

The dilemma.

Theres already threads dedicated to these issues.

P.S. - The ritualist is original and creative in its own way.

It is still early to call Divine Judgment on the classes, don't you think?
I'm torn between which class I'll play also (either A/Rit or Rit/A...).
But time will provide an answer. There will be another event most likely. play the classes again then, and see if you can discover a style you like.

I think its hard to learn the new classes there skills again but looks don't say everything in a class because i owned a lot of assasins and ritualists in hoh at the time of the update. but they might be good when people use them more.

I like the Ritualist in every way better than the Assassin.

I prefer casting more than trying to tie combos together.

I prefer the tattoos and the cool armor of the Assassin (Christmas trees?!? No. And you can always turn the Helmet off if it bugs you...)

And I love Channeling and the Binding Rituals!

My only dilemma is whether to make a Rt/Ra or Ra/Rt.

Wandering my own road.

Make an assassin and shoot out dagger spells?
A new way of picking off enemies may be Shameful Fear + Enduring Toxin + kiting using Shadow Arts. [Edit: Though, I doubt it'd help much against any healing monsters]

Sadly, many of the other Deadly Arts skills are watered down necromancer hexes.

I'm sure you'll manage though.

Where?

If you consider bones and chains all over and a blindfold over your eyes then it is creative. I consider it foolish.

I am not making rt/a or a/rt for the sake of being special. Probably making a either a A/N for teleporting touch skills or Mo/Rt with restoration magic

I looked through ALL skills that were in the event. The ritualist is more well rounded, and the assassin is a glofied warrior that looks 100x better.

I think so too, assassin is like watered down version of necro/mesmer hex and warrior. Ritualist is new and different (especially the hold urn stuff). My gripe is not the helmet, it is all the armor.

It's this kind of advice that actually is sound. Thanks for posting. I do think that assassins are glofied warriors (more specifically the r/w's). The recurring problem is like the rangers and warriors it is dependent on weapon so much.

LOL. Well said, Andy!

Well, LifeInfusion, you of course are entitled to your opinion.

But it seems the majority on this board either find the Ritualist unique, cool, or sexy. (Or some combination of such traits).

You want some obvious advice?

Take another Primary if you really can't stand the Ritualists' armor but still want most of their spells (obviously, you'll miss out on nice ones like Rupture).

Ra/Ri, E/Ri or even N/Ri would all be pretty cool.
