The Giant Slayers Hammer

howdy... this may be a stupid question but does the Giant Slayers Hammer actually have an advantage vursers giants?

yes its dumb but hey! im bored.

It all depends on the mods on it.
If it has one thats damge blah blah versus giants then it has more damage against giants.

Its called Giant since its just big I guess.

yea i know that but i was wondering if it had base extra dmg vs. giants... i guess the only way to prove is to compare against another in Riverside Provence or somewhere similar where there are lots

it doesn't. or at least it shouldn't. it's just a name. however, you can get a grip of giant-slaying to increase your damage versus giants.

I wish it did. then they'd be usefull, since they are just a rams hammer... Now Mursaat Hammers....

yea.. its probably the same for mursaat hammers too... it would be nice if they made them a little rarer and actually gave them an advantage vs mursaat (or giants on a slayers hammer)

Tundra Giants are definately the place to go to find hammers. The first time I went IDS farming, I had 3 straight GOLD Giant Slayers hammers drop from them big boys when I was working off DP.

There's an even better place than that, but you can't solo farm it with a Warrior. They're called Giant Slayer's Hammers because you're a giant slayer. I couldn't care less if they're gold or platinum though, hammers have no resale value whatsoever unless it's a certain skin. I wish gold swords or axes dropped for me with the same mods as those godforsaken hammers.

ok i went farming trolls in the ice caves near droks today and after i had killed them all i went on north to kill some giants. I found that when ever they are seen weilding it (actually in the hand) they normally drop it. On the 1st tundra giant run i did.. nearly all of the giants holding the hammer dropped it. most were purple.. 1 was gold.

kvndoom, if you can't solo it with a warrior, how is it a better place?

And I didn't mean the place to go for rare skinned hammers for resale value, just the sheer amount of mods you can harvest to make your own hammers.



Random but I had to pipe in again..

Was just getting some armor infused at Iron Mines...another Gold hammer from these Giants. 10/10 Furious, dmg+14% stance.

Yeah, I remember the first time I got my GS hammer....

I was so disappointed it didn't help against giants.

Just a Ram's Hammer with a longer name.
