We all know that in Guild Wars, you can only have one stance active at any given time.
Hence, in here I suggest a new profession that defies this classic one stance only rule, by allowing more than one stances active on the character at any given time!

If anything appeared to be unbalanced, overpowered, please nerf.
Name: Martial Artist
Primary Attribute:
Stance Mastery:
- each point reduces stances recharge time by 5%
- each point makes stances last longer by 2%
- each 4 points allow one extra stance in effect
(This means, with 12 points in Stance Mastery, you can have 4 active stances! Wohoo! This makes Wild Blow and Wild Strike more useful now eh?)
- skills consists of various stances.
Secondary Attributes:

- each point increases chance to score critical hit by 1%
- weapon skill
- weapons such as quarter staff, short staff, steel staff, etc

- Martial Artist's abilities considered to be non-magical
- Martial Artist has no spells or enchantments
- Defensive Qi Mastery abilities mostly limited to self only
- Defensive Qi Mastery abilties do not include conditions and hex removal skills
- Offensive Qi Mastery abilities do not target multiple targets
- Offensive Qi Mastery's direct damage skills does not takes armour level into consideration
Armor Level: 75
Energy Regen: 3 pips
Armor varieties:
1) vs Elemental +15
2) vs Physical +15
3) +15% to evade attacks
- stackable with own evasion skills only
As for how the armor looks like, I guess it would be similar to the monk's clothes. Non heavy, light.
Well, I think that should cover the basics.
If this concept would be feasable I will come up with the skills later, or anyone else is welcome to suggest and contribute.
Cheers.

Too much like the assassain. WAY too much like that assassain. and the AL would be a little low for melee.
Also, what use would this have against Jade armor? breaking his own foot?
Sorry, but this wasn't an origonal idea. Search IS back up now. and it IS your friend.
It wasn't an exact repleca of any prior topic, but it has been booed down.
Just so you know, 65 AL isn't much for a melee... apparently, you've never taken a monk into melee W/O a invinci build...

But you are missing the main point here, the ability to have multiple stances active at any given time, surely this idea alone must be somewhat original?
65 AL is sufficient if people are unable to hit the Martial Artist most of the time.
If 65 AL is too low, then let's try 75 AL.
Erm I haven't even suggested the skills yet, and you already said that it is way too much like the assasin.
Assasin:
- Spells
- Hexes
- Enchantments
- Lead Attacks, Off-Hand Attacks etc
This "Martial Artist" would have none of those, in what ways would this "Martial Artist" be like the Assasin?

Yes, there were 100+ of Martial Artist concept class out there. I like parts of this one, especially the stack stance idea. It is put in a nice formate as well, so plus on that.
One thing I don't like about Assassin is its combo ablity, which I think would be better on MA class. But still, often MA and Assassin are too much of the same (light armor melee class), so making it unique is the challenge. But such class would be fun to play with.
Drop the Barehand vs Armor agruement. Yes, It is not a very good idea to punch a plate of steel in real life, but in a Fantasy world, its all good (I like to see Chi attack such as that more Armor Pentrating, since it by pass the armor and damage its foe internally)
The idea about Stance Buffs are great. But somehow I don't like it too much as primary with passive bonus to it (cann't say why, just feel so), and would make it just skills instead. I am unsure about stacking stance too, but would just make the MA's stance into Pose Stances, which could be stack (but not the other stance from other prof).
Overall, very good balance of attributes. Some further work would be good to develop it more.
For some reference.. if anyone care... my old MA concept class has the following attribute:
- Chi Mastery
- Combo Attack
- Barehand Mastery
- Staff Mastery
But in looking bad.. some of those old attributes are not so great........
