I looked through the search for this but couldn't find much though I'm sure its been asked before.
I'm getting a new PC eventually, how would i go about geting guild wars files on to this new pc with out redownloading it all, by that I mean which files do I need to burn to CD, or would that not work?
And I'm guessing it would be alright once i install guild wars on the new computer to use the same account?

Hi,
you need to install the game on your new pc, then use your password & id as normal.
This uses your account you have got at the moment.
Hope this helps.

gw.dat you should back this file up.
then you install the game and as soon as installed u close it when it's downloading, and copy the gw.dat over to your gw folder, that'd reduce your download to less than 3mbs

If you still have the setup file, just copy that to your new system, install, and use same id/password. The above post has a good idead, back up gw.dat, then copy to new install, choose ovewrite(new install's gw.dat file), should be ok.
