I've already a caught a tiger due to that quest and now I want a strider. How do I do ?

you have to talk to jarrel the tamer next to ranger nente and trade in your melandru's stalker. Charming any other animal takes the same steps as charming the stalker did, but you can only charm one animal at a time.
