Okay, so this is a build I've been messing around with and I've got a question or two.
1. Fragility
2. Phantom Pain
3. Shatter Delusion
4. Virulence
5. Shatter Enchantment
6. Guilt
7. Distortion
8. Rez Sig
Now, only the first four skills (and of corse the res sig) have been used with any real consistancy. Is there a way to optimize the damage output of this build? Is it really worth bringing shatter enchantment? Is there a better energy management skill besides guilt (using Domination/Illusion)?
Now for the big question...is this even an effective build? Is there a direct damage build thats better to use than this one? I know that frag builds had been nerfed, so....
Frag Mesmer/ direct damage

Fragility damage was reduced from 35 to 21 at 16 illu... that hit this build hard.
You might be able to run this in random arenas fairly well... shatter enchant is good to bring, it can sometimes give you the final damage spike. On the other hand, if you meet a monk with mend ailment, you are finished :/

Not really any counter for mend ail... best off running it in random arenas and hoping you don't meet a monk with a clue

Isnt it that when a Condition is removed, the fragility triggers so it deals dmg anyway? That way the monk ''kills'' himself?
Avarre
Mend ailment healself per condition remaining, and the healing of that + favor + boon (if using) is enough to send your piddly little 21 fragility damage into the dust. He takes 21 (1 condiion lost) and heals for 3 more coniditions... full heal ftw

I recently played a match with a very good mend aliment monk on my RA team. We were doing really well till one of our players had to drop. So with three on four, eventually me and my other non monk team mate died, but it took them 8 minutes, 4v1 to kill our monk, cause they were all using condtions, and the monk was spamming mend ailment.

I was actually looking at that today and wondering how to use it. Thanks!
