Watch the anime ;-) He is a segment of people's mentality and only appears to people that are stressed out. So he is like stress in a physical form. The ugly one is when he starts getting stronger since he has become known in the city and everyone was stressing at the same time about being attacked by him(they don't know he's fake).

They showed all of the episodes and not many people said it sucked, in fact when has Adult Swim ever cared what shows of theirs sucked? You have 8 Oz. Mouse? Perfect Hair Forever and so on. Plus mine are the Japanese versions
