I do use runners to get me from augory rock to all places and missions in the desert though so i am not anti-running. I would just say..do the missions quickly and i do not believe it is a much (probably somewhat) slower way to finish the game.

Lvl 15 is the minimum if u want to b lvl 20

I ascended my mesmer at lvl 11. She got lvl 16. So, yes. The level difference after the ascension is 5 levels.
So lvl 15 is correct.

i ascended my necro at lvl 6...i would have been lvl 3, but i could not find anyone to solo thirsty river. I poked around for a bit to get to lvl 5 or so, and leveled upon completion of bonus and mission. it was funny going to the old tombs (when it was pvp), and was like LVL 13 MM LFG R5! bwha

I always get power lvled to around lvl 14 then I have enough points for the skills required to beat my mirror image. Then when i ascend I hit lvl 19. So to answer your question lvl 15

Level 20 requires 140,600xp. Ascending gets you 50,000xp, so you need to have 90,600xp when you ascend to hit level 20, which would put you about 2/3 of the way through level 15.
fallot, Murder In China is probably remembering the way ascension used to work, where it made you level 20 regardless of your level, rather than just giving you 50kxp.

Hey! i have a warrior he almost lvl 20 and one time someone make fun of me that i havent ascended... i asked them how do i do that? what you mean ascended? the other guy said just by doing your quests and missions.. i said oh ok i'll do that, now my question is i did alot of quest and mission.. whats the best way to get that ascended thing?

You cannot ascend at lvl 1. You get xp from doing the quests in pre and the missions in the desert. The lowest I've been able to ascend was lvl 4, which brings me to level 12.5

It takes 141,000exp (roughly) to reach lvl20. All you need to do is hit ~91,000exp, and beat the dopple.

Well you start out in pre-searing and you play all those quests and missions, once you have completed ALL of them then you are ready to goto Post Searing, there you will be given more missions/quests to do, do all of those and follow the story for miles and miles and hours and hours, eventually you will get to the desert and find the Three Ghostly Heroes who will tell you your final 3 objectives to ascend, then you will spend hours and hours and days and days LFG please invite me....waiting.....waiting....waiting.....but, eventually some will be symphathetic and invite you into their groups and then you have to HOPE and PRAY they are not noods and you are good enough to complete those 3 missions/quests, oh and you can do them in any order. Once done you go back to the 3 Ghostly Heroes who will then magically allow the Mountain of Ascension to open up and there you will face yourself. Well sort of. laffin Most people can beat their computer AI counterpart pretty easily I've done it in less than 30 seconds with Balths Aura and Wrath, but, that was before the AOE nerf and I'm not sure if it still works anymore. Then you get your 50000 experience points and off you go to dragons Lair and pick up the story again from there, here I'd say it's about 4/5ths over, but, still quite a few missions and quests to do.

which u r absolutely correct takes u to lvl 12.5 if ur low end of lvl 4.
