yes use life bond and balthazars spirit
Life bond reduces physical dmg by 50% and 50% of the dmg is directed to u and reduced.
balthazars spirit everytime u take dmg u gain one energy and I stroke of adrenerlin (arg cant spell)
cast life bond on ur allies and balths spirit on urself. U gain energy every time they take dmg. Hay presto ur energy degen is slowed down or stopped with u gaining energy.

try this:

Life Bond on Ally
Balthazar's Spirit on you
{E} Peace and Harmony for more regen
Blessed Signet for slight energy gain.

But that's only if you're energy-hyper.

or if ur a Mo/Me take mantra of inscriptions and put some attributes into insperation magic. Ur signets now recharge faster thn normal meaning u can use blessed signet more often to keep ur energy up.

I personally use ‘Offering of Blood’ (Mo/N for that very reason)

Completed the new UW last weekend with 2 other monks in the group who did not seem to have any energy management at all. In some battles they just stopped casting after a while and retreated to the rear. The difference between what they/I was able to do over a period of time was very noticeable.

Well there is a great way to keep all your energy. Don't use any. Don't heal. When the group is screaming for heals...tell them you are trying and you have major lag.

Sorry counld not resist....

EDIT: Ok...seriously do not over heal. You cannot be all things to all people. Concentrate your heals. Have someone else bring Rebirth too. Like a Warrior. It uses up all your mana. I use Restore. I make sure when I am running with Divine Boon for example to use 5 mana spells over 10+ mana spells. With Boon using Mend Aliment for example will still heal even though the person doesn't have a condition. It cost only 5 mana too. Also sometimes you have to turn off Boon between fights. You will regen faster. When you throw it back on you get a heal and it didn't cost much. Blessed Sig is great but it is better with more then one Enchantment on you. Bring Sig of Devotion for those topper heals. No mana...refreshes fairly quicky too.

I like to use Word of Healing with Boon. It is a God Send for the emegency heal. Only 5 mana. Healing touch for you. That with Boon is "like" a Word of Healing for you.

This is what I use - M/E

Glyph of Renewal {E}
Blessed Aura
Divine Spirit

I then 5 energy healing spells, such as:
Dwayna's Kiss
Orison of Healing
Healing Touch <--- sometimes use Healing Breeze
Vigorous Spirit
Resurrect (Rebirth takes energy down to 0)

The way to do this is to cast Blessed Aura first, then Glyph of Renewal and then Divine Spirit.
The Aura makes the Spirit last some 22 seconds approx.
In the meantime I can spam the party with the now 1 energy healing spells.

Since Glyph of Renewal has a 15 second recharge - that means you can constantly renew Divine Spirit before it ends - meaning you can keep it up full time (and since it is a Monk spell - it now only costs 5 to renew, plus the 5 for the glyph).

So basically - every 20 seconds you have to renew the Glyph and Divine Spirit. That costs around 30 energy per minute. Your energy income is 60 per minute (with only three pips by using Blessed Aura). So you have 30 energy per minute net income. And each of your 5 energy spells cost 1 energy to cast.

If used properly - you effectively never run out of energy

The channeling works very well for PVE but not for PVP. Offering of blood ( necro secondary ) works well... but you have to dump a few points in to really get anything out of it. In PVP you really don't have to worry about havin your energy drained too much. Bring all 5 energy heals, dwaynas kiss, orison, signet of devotion, and word of healing (if you choose not to use offering of blood) Also, as a mes secondary, you can use mantra of recall (E) for extra energy after (x) amount of seconds.

The general tips are:

Use cheap spells like Orison of Healing, Reversal of Fortune and the likes.

If you are enchantment have user monk make sure to bring enchantments that help energy management like Balthazar's Spirit, Essence Bond, etc.

I highly suggest NOT to be a heavy enchantment monk for PvP unless you really know what you are doing.

Its preferable to start off using cheap spells and keep energy regen at four as much as you can while making sure to cast your heals for maximum efficiency.

You might also want to invest in Mesmer Inspiration skills for various utilarian energy management skills such as Inspired Hex, Channeling, Energy Drain, MAntra of Recall or Necro's OoB skill for THE best energy management skill.

And practice to time your energy regen with your spell casts.

Id take Holy Veil instead of Rezz and something more utilarian instead of Vigorous Spirit to keep you alive because against hex users like mesmers they will eat this build pretty quickly. CoP or Remove Hex should replace Vigorous Spirit.

Vigorous Spirit is a good spam for buying time. I use it as a topper after a major heal. Then I can move on to the next dying player...

However, Dood is learning new tactics here....

Lots of good advice here. One thing I'd stress though is that you try hard not to overheal. I know when I first started playing a monk, I had a bad habit of always spamming heals to make sure my teammates were always at full health, but this resulted in a lot of wasted energy since they weren't getting the full effect of my spells. It takes a while to get a good feel for when someone needs to be healed and when not, but it will have a major impact on your energy management if you develop that discriminating eye. Also, I like to bring Devo Sig for a free top-off heal in non-emergency situations. It's also nice for healing through Backfire, Diversion, etc.
