I went 'Ranger/Elm' thinking i could buff my ranger with Conjure flame/lightning/frost. The GWGuru skills listing doesnt mention anything about conjure flame requiring a flame weapon to benefit from the spell. But now that im at Lion's Arch, i notice that Conjure Flame's description says if im wielding a flame weapon, my weapon strikes for additional flame dmg.
So i suppose those wanting to get elmentalist secondary for the conjure spells are out of luck(unless they use the correct elemental weapon)?
Conjure flame only works on flame weapons?!

Couldn't you get a flame dmg bow and maybe even add a flame string?

I thought of that, but what if i wanted to use another string or another bow? I think GWGURU should update the skills listing forb the conjure element spells, its misleading.

Yes, because as a volunteer run fansite, we *must* keep everything up-to-date because of the slight chance that someone might decide to believe us over what they can find in-game. I'm sorry, but we put a lot of hard work and effort into maintaining and updating things around here and we try to be accurate but it's not always possible. We don't get an XML feed or a letter from ANet letting us know when there's a change, we have to catch it in game or someone has to bring it to our attention. And since we're in the same boat as everyone else - needing to find and unlock all our skills - it's not an easy task at all.
The change to the various Conjures was known about and publicized as of the March BWE and we certainly tried to let people know about them. The last time we updated our skill listings the wording on the Conjures was different and, indeed, made no mention of the fact that they could only be used with the proper elemental type. It looks to me to be a recent change and, as I was planning on going through what meager skills I do have to see if anything needed updating later on today, thanks for catching it and bringing it to our attention. IF more people did the same, we could keep our skill listings much more accurate than they currently are.

OK thanks for the reply, didnt noe that the old conjure spells didnt have elemental weapon requirements. I actually found the site useful but needed clarification for the conjure spells. Replies by site admins make me feel that there is proper support, good job man.
Oh yea, because of this change in the conjure spells, i think several of the builds will have to be relooked, like the furious bowman.
