Okay yeah yeah, WTH? <3 WELL. I figured I should place this in a new thread for more direct attention, i will however add it to my list thus far. I just thought of this idea out of the blue when thinking about morrowind, and would like some opinions from fellows!
How about an annual contest? With a few lucky winners? And what contest might that be? An editor contest!
The developers write up a bible for the game's background, races, etc. that contestants can go by. Then, release publicly an editing program that allows players to graphically and dynamically (as much as the pve is anyways) the environments, dungeons, where monsters spawn, quests, missions, npcs, etc. Each year people will get to make their own dungeon, or area, missions, etc. People may get to vote on them (though some form of TCP/IP might be needed), and the most popular are chosen to get reviewed by the company. The most "favored" ones get to be added in some way to the game as a free expansion.
A mod community can be a vastly powerful resource, if they're not all idiots.
GW PvE Editor tossup!
