Now that I trying an heal / protect monk (and loving it) I noticed something, a lot of quests or missions (or a good mm and "friends") have a bunch of allies that I can heal that don't show up in the party list.
On those missions where the party is not taxing my skills, I find it hard to target say a hoard of Bone Minions (the one that is about to die) or all those npc guards that monsters are slaughtering.
Maybe have a secondary windows of all "friendly" that you can heal show up in a list. Due to the sheer number you could have, make it show lowest health at the top but once you "select" your selection stays on the target you want, or if there at full health, make them not show on the list of allies around you.

I like the idea. In ovserver mode we can press the P button to view all the parties playing. I think making it so that windows for other varieties of allies show up would be good. Then maybe we can have a screen for Players/Important Npcs (currently have), screen for Necro/Ranger/Ritualist allies, and a screen for friendly NPCS such as little dwarf soldiers or guards that run around and die immediately.
