It's call "clipping" and it's one of those things I doubt Anet will ever fix.

finally after much ado...and lots of revisiting those buried treasures etc.
I got some vabbi, and amazingly enough was able to match it to my kurzick skirt, died the shoes white so they match all my wardrobe now too.
only took 2 greens, blue and purple to get the dye right (doesnt work for any other armor however )...ah well at least it matches something!
