I call him "Mhenlo the Mental". He comes from a Canthan Island group known for their idiots called "Island of the In-Bred Bald". Orion spent a summer there learning how to cast FireStorm at the Community College.
Actually, for the missions he is available, I would rather have two Lina's available and bring more self healing. He bites worse than Alesia.
I have tried never taking Cynn along when he is there so he keeps his mind on this work...but.....he still must be pining.

heck no. Lina is a far better monk than Alesia and Mhenlo put together! If both monks die, I ALWAYS res Lina. That said, i always take him (though with my monk when she reaches places he's available, I obviously won't). Usually my party will consist of Me, Alesia/Mhenlo, Lina, Thom, Stefan/Devona, Orion/Cynn, Claude/Eve and Dunham. Though if one of those covers a class I'm playing, I'll kick 'em out in favour of Reyna/Aiden.

He did an awsome job for me the other day helping me and a group get to Fire Island. Now standing in fire doesn't sound stupid... all the henches will stand in poison water, fire and anything else that could hurt them. Fools...

lina is by far the brightest of the three. my "favorite" moment is when lina and mhenlo both go down and i procede to run for my life. the mob eventually stops chasing us, and i(if im a monk secondary) procede to rez one of them. if i rez mhenlo, he immdiatly runs back into the mob to rez lina, and gets us all killed. i swear hes dating her or something. this is why i always rez mhenlo last, and if im a monk, i just plain dont bring him.

The one thing no one has considered is that Mhenlo, unlike Lina and Alesia, is actually infused. In my experience he tends to bite the dust a bit less frequently... but then again, I don't let my henchies stand in lava

I used to think Alesia, too, was useless (and stupid), until the Crystal Desert. There I met awesome Lina and Alesia regained a few thousand brain cells. I miss Alesia...Mhenlo's just a fat idiot. He seems fatter (and uglier) as a hench than in the days of pre-searing. I think Ascalon's destruction sent him into a depression with him binging.

i am teh best henchie... just kidding. i personally like dunham, the poor unused henchman who sits there collecting dust will the henchies go and get their buttocks (my word of the day) severly thrased.

I see no diffrence between any of the monk henchies, they all tank and get the healing job done.... occasionally.

Anyway. Lina is the best monk henchies, hands down, but Mhenlo's still better than Alesia, who sometimes makes me tear out my hair in frustration. However, Lina can do stupid things as well. Ah, that one time both Lina and Mhenlo died in the lava in Hell's and I rezzed Lina, only to have her run back into the lava to rez Mhenlo. I then tried rezzing Mhenlo first, but he, too, insisted on going back in to rez Lina despite me going, "NO WAIT I HAVE REBIRTH!" at the monitor.
Conclusion: all henchies are stupid. Except Reyna, who will usually be the last woman standing when I'm out with the henchies. Reyna FTW.

LOL I've found Mhenlo a bit of a hit and miss. I was at THK about 2 months ago, and we only had 1 monk, me, so we took Mhenlo (since I generally play prot) and we really kicked butt. Same thing happened at Ring of Fire a couple of days later. Once again we kicked butt. But I've been elite capping with Mhenlo several times, and he was always the first to die.

Mhenlo has a crazy habit of standing next to the strongest monster while healing you...and Alesia just sucks. Lina and the Zaishen are the only decent ones, but I stick by the fact that Dunham is the best. He single handedly killed a Griffon outside Camp Rankor on a skill cap run.

Every one that has a monk skill knows that Cynn and Mhenlo got a thing going.
One of the quest in Yaks is a NPC asking you to go and find out what is bothering Cynn, because you're brave and she scares averyone else. She tells you that she is worried and that if Mhenlo isn't dead she might kill him herself. When you find him, hw is just enjoying the veiw, near the mine. She start to lay into him, he just counters with a "Contrary to popular opinion, the world dosn'e revolve around you." Now, if this isn't love, I don'y know what is.

Yes, anyone who has ever had Mhenlo spend more time on Cynn than them will know about that... There's been a few times I futilely raged at the screen, seeing Mhenlo run up to Cynn's freshly dead corpse and start the loooong Rebirth, while getting pounded on by the baddies who had just killed her... When meanwhile, I (and everyone else) was taking damage and poor Lina couldn't take care of everyone by herself...
But it's true, he does beat out Dunham. Dunham just gets to watch all his fellow henchmen stream out the glowing portal time and time again. He's probably a little bitter, but deep down he probably knows that he wouldn't be as effective anyways.

I think you have to put it in context of what you need mhenlo for. By the time mhenlo actually is available to use as a henchman real player monks are quite rare to find, especially 2. Most PUGS from THK onwards take mhenlo as a second healer, if not the only one, as far as I can tell. If he wasn't there at all, would you miss him? I think most people really would!
