OK I couldn't find the answer anywhere without another person disputing it. SO here it is.

Can you cap an Elite that belongs to your SECONDARY CLASS? Example: E/Mo, can the Elemental cap a MONK ELITE? I say no but others say yes...will try when I get home in 7 hours if nobody knows for sure.

You couldnt get a straight answer for that ? Yes, you can cap elites for your secondary class. My first character was a R/N and I capped Spiteful Spirit on him.

Edit: Got beaten to it, but there is something I'd like add which I missed reading your post the first time.

lol well i now say yes . I was told in game by several in the desert that you can't do that. Boy am i glad you can though, Shield of Justice here I come.

NOTE

you can also cap high level non elite skills from bosses much earlier than you can buy /quest them as well
