Rubies and Sapphires?

I've heard of somone getting a ruby and I myself have a sapphire, my question is: What do I do with it?

I did a search and found that the ones who asked, either never got an answer or no one knew.

I picked it up in Regent Valley, Near Kings Watch I think, I was surrounded by hulking stone elementals, and after I killed them all there it was.

Please help I really want to know if it will be of use to a Mo/R.

Interesting.. my ruby was a drop from hulking stone elements. I've heard people say you can salvage items to GET them.. but maybe they appear as drops from stone enemies.

My betting is it's either the ingredient to a staff or sword.. or can be used by Elementalist in some way.

I am certain the monsterous claw is a collector item. I can't remember where that collector is located though.

Yeah! I found a "beautiful pearl" and I have no idea what to do with it.

There's a beautiful pearl in pre-searing that's part of a quest to get some chick "the perfect gift". If you found it post-searing, that's pretty interesting.

Rubies aren't collector's items. I have one, and it says Rare crafting item in the subtext.

On a side note, its worth 250 gold at the trader which is more than anything else I have seen. The Monstrous Claws and some underworld/fissure drops are second at 100 gold. I too am interested in finding out what it is good for.

im guessing for the UW crafter. even though i have yet to find him.

I've found that the montrous claw and eye that I've found are supposedly used for the 15k armor.

I've also found a monstrous fang.

I sold mine back when I cash strapped and fancy free

Im thinkin rubies and sapphires might be for elementalists? Those little "All seeing Eyes" or something. Either that or part of a sword hilt or for a staff. But something that's this rare has gotta be good I found a monstrous claw but I sold my monstrous fangs to the merchent after I found like 3 in one day..
