Horses in exp?

I was thinking the other day...Guild wars should have horses for profesions to use. maybe the exp will have them.? Warriors and rangers should be able to have these mounts, or use in pve and pvp. does anyone else feel this way?

I dont feel that the game is open enough to need horses.

I would like the idea very much but i don't know how they would implement it... i mean it would make running easier and to counter that theid have to add a lot of snares and that would upset the people who just playinly want to fight their way through. And in pvp... i don't know what to say. That's my opinion adn i admit it may be totaly wrong!

It's been brought up in the past, many times.
The problem is that mounts have no real use in Guild Wars at this time for travel (Due to the existance of map travel), and they don't really fit into the current skill system for combat either.

of course there should be counters. Rangers could get new traps and u could fall off your horse

Eh, Horses are only needed for far traveling situations.. With instanced gameplay there isn't too much traveling. (Unless you're doing a run, say from.. Old Ascalon all the way to Sactum Cay)

But battle beasts are another story (Animals ment for fighting whilst being mounted on) It'd be awesome to have a warrior mounted on a Sand Drake or something of that nature. Anyways horses are a little too dull for something like Guild Wars

...you know I decided to leave this thread up just to see if anyone would reply to it, being a repeat and all. For the record, Bmont, this suggestion (idea of mounts) HAS been brought up many times before so I'll be closing this one and direct you to use of the search button and/or Index thread. Probably the search button in this case since the Index thread probably doesn't have the idea of mounts in it. (Probably 'cause all previous threads have been discussed to death, and perhaps locked.) I'll see about adding this to the Index here shortly.
