Glint wasn't as amazing as I had expected, but I was with an experienced team. I want some more big bosses that you and your team must take on, oh and Glint treats Warriors like little rag dolls. They die.

glint's just an oversized fly. with wings. and a high damage rate that squishes warriors.

and other stuff, too.

basically, Distracting Shot > Glint. just hit her Crystal Hibernation and she's a goner.

by the way, has anyone noticed that Glint seems to have a crystal goatee?

Omelet
3 eggs, warmed in hot water for 5 minutes
Pinch salt
1 teaspoon room temperature butter, plus 1/2 teaspoon for finishing omelet
1/2 teaspoon fresh chopped chives

Crack warm eggs into bowl, add salt, and blend with fork. Heat a 10-inch non-stick aluminum pan over medium-high heat. Once pan is hot add butter and brush around surface of pan. Pour eggs into center of pan and stir vigorously with rubber spatula for 5 seconds. As soon as a semi-solid mass begins to form lift pan and move around until the excess liquid pours off into pan. Using your spatula move around the edge of the egg mixture to help shape into round and loosen edge. Let omelet sit in pan for 10 seconds without touching.

Shake pan to loosen from pan. Lift up the far edge of the pan and snap it back toward you. Using your spatula, fold over 1/3 of the omelet. Slide omelet onto plate and fold over so that omelet is a tri-fold. Coat with remaining butter and sprinkle with chives. Serve immediately.

It seems like glint ruins all warriors and such, but that's only cause the jagged crystal skin stance deals 100 damage to everyone ADJACENT to Glint when glint is struck with PHYSICAL damage. So yeah, just be sure to bring an elemental weapon. If you hench it, it may very well suck because you will more than likely end up taking one of the war henches and/or the archer hench, and they of course will plug away hitting glint with physical damage. In one group, we got ruined by glint because an asshat human ranger kept plugging glint with physical damage while the two warriors including myself hit glint with elemental melee weaps. Add that to glint running up to the casters who didn't get away from her fast enough, and they kept getting splashed with the 100 dmg adjacent hit. Oh well, at least that group handled the actual mission quite well.

Capitan Del Queso - if that's a problem ask the Ranger to bring along "Greater Conflageration". Yes it's an elite skill.. but it convert's all Physical damage into Fire damage. so even a R/* or */R can do that with the warrior & ranger henchies.. just make sure to have capped GC first and summon that spirit asap to convert their attack's to fire damage..

And if Glint has damage resistance to fire but not cold.. just add in Winter to convert elemental damage to cold damage... so once again a R/* or */R can deal with that no prob..

And as the problem is a stance.. Warrior's can always bring Wild Blow to remove the stance...

*shrugs* There's way's around everything in the game.. it's just a matter of finding the right solution and being flexible enough to use it.

Mm yeah or you could go elemental string + bow and not have to worry bout a spirit that needs to stay alive and can only be capped in the very last mission of the game. Given the new behavior of mobs to seek and destroy spirits, conflag doesn't seem like a good idea. As for removing the stance, I remember Glint being able to activate the stance again quickly I guess cause she's so special. Really not necessary as just using ele weapons will trump the stance completely, and she can't counteract that by killing a weak little spirit.

I have beaten Glint a couple of times. I was just putting that out there so everyone knows not to even try hitting her with physical damage. The only reason for bringing conflag would be if you are henching it, but that would be an odd situation cause youd have to have a game-beating ranger with conflag from the last mission in the game as well as the need to take henches. I dunno about Glint having a resistance to any particular element, but if someone were to test that, it would be cool.

the only time i beat her was with a 8-man trap group. just set the traps b4 you take the egg, and you'll see her triggering all the traps (then dying) in the cutscene

I can't imagine enjoying the rest of the mission very much with 8 trappers... :S

Capitan Del Queso - Don't forget that killing Glint is the bonus in the mission, not the mission itself. Quite a lot of people go through the game without doing a lot of the bonuses and only go back to finish the bonuses later on.. so it's entirely concievable that a person had finished the game, capped GF and then gone back to kill Glint with that character.

I agree it would be much easier to just use an elemental damage bow instead, but just offering some suggestion's as to what you can possibly consider doing. You know, pointing out some option's

Have the monk bring protective spirit. Have some others bring distracts. A necro with his newly acquired grenths balance holding the egg and its easily game over. Really the only skills required to beat glint is a decent protect spirit monk and a couple distracts.

Looking for an AB Luxon Guild

My Necro, newly capping grenths balance, was thinking
"This will be easy....I should murder glint"
But, Alas, I did 300 damage to her, and only took about 1/8 of the health....
grenths doesnt work that well lol

lol Were you planning on killing the grenth in one shot?!? Hence the need for the other skills. Grenths balance just makes it slightly easier.
