Hmm ... near max automod, near max sundering, and flamberge skin ... with a perfect sword pommel of fortitude.

Pommel alone is worth 30k, sundering is worth about 5k ... total sword value is around 75 - 100k

i think the sword as it is is about 40-50k if you can find a generous buyer.
i would personally attempt an expert salvage for the +30hp pommel as those have been selling for 70-100k lately.

Ohh ... I didnt know the +30 hp pommels have been going up .... I'll have to revise some stuff in my pricelists.

However, if you're going to sell the sword to someone for it's component parts, it's pretty silly to try to get LESS for the sword than for what it's made of... At this point (provided that Extra Bacon is correct on the pommel's value) I would definately salvage for the pommel.

yea, even the weapon mod sticky has been updated recently and shows it at 70-80k.

let's say you have a really crappy sword that's worth nothing as a weapon, but it was id'ed with a +30hp pommel on it. you're too scared to salvage it because you were cursed as a child for stealing some gypsy's pet bunny and bad luck has been your shadow ever since. you know a +30hp pommel sells for 70-100k but iron ingots come no where close, not even if you got 12 iron ingots.

a buyer looking for a +30hp pommel will never pay 70-100k for a crap sword that has +30hp on it for a 1 in 3 chance of salvaging what they're after. if they were gonna pay that much, they'd buy the pommel itself. why gamble 70-100k on maybe getting the pommel when you can actually get one for that amount, right? make sense?

that's why you sell it for less than the individual part would cost, but more than your iron ingots.

If i can mod it with a 10/10 sundering because i don't want to salvage it for + 30HP. Req 8 is very low

if you're going to sell this sword, don't bother putting on the sundering hilt (sundering sucks anyway ).

skin is everything in this game. that is why a 15^50 req 8 gladius will never come close in value to the fellblade in that link you posted, not even if it were modded with perfect furious () & fortitude. same goes for a flamberge.

if you have a 10/10 sundering hilt lying in storage, save it for something else. if you intend to buy one for the purpose of modding this sword and re-selling, don't waste your money and time.
